    A60 Actuator

I've never seen wear like this on a A60 actuator. It's on my marine master trailer (I don't think that matters). Is this caused by a worn bushing or something else?

Edit: Is this something that needs to be taken care of ASAP?

If I remember correctly---there should be some nylon wear shims to keep from having metal to metal contact.

Replacing the entire actuator only requires a few more steps than replacing those rollers and wear plate. The hardest part is splicing in the wire for the reverse solenoid. If the trailer is more than 10 years old, I would replace the entire thing. If it’s newer, I’d take it out and see if I could find out exactly what is causing that wear pattern and replace those parts. It’s most likely those rollers and wear plate.

I would replace the whole unit.

    Not a fan of rebuilding.

Seems something else always fails a short time later after a component is replaced.

    Good luck

    Thumbs Up

Best to replace as all ready stated. More often than not it’s the easiest and always ends up being better and cheaper in the long run. Far to much hassle taken off and putting back together repeatedly before a successful rebuilding takes place. And you don’t have to keep waiting on parts in between attempts.!! Yeah, been there done that.!!
    Good luck either way.!!

Thank but I needed the 34043.
I paid $319 at Truck and trailer parts for the 34043. 099-060-10 model. I’ve seen them cheaper but not this model.UFP A-60 1-AXLE HYDRAULIC DISC BRAKE ACTUATOR INNER SLIDE, 7,500 LB (34043) 099-060-10
