    Two piece thrust washer for yamaha 250 SHO

    Has anyone replaced the 2 piece thrust washer on a 250 SHO. If so how do u remove the second piece from the back side the prop? (Not the brass piece)

    Take a screwdriver at an angle and a hammer and go around the washer and work it off.

    Put a punch on the side facing you and hit it with a hammer, it will come right off

    I got it off. I took it to a machine shop and he pressed n out n 5 seconds. I changed 2 piece thrust washer out with the new 1 piece. Trying to prevent problems down the road.
