    Springfield Armory Hellcat

    Considering a S A Hellcat as a CCW choice.

I would like some first hand feedback from actual owners who can share their opinions pros and cons.

Would you still buy one or choose a different brand/model?

I thought about getting one and had a chance to shoot a buddy's. Really did not care for it as it was too small for my hand to grip comfortably. Nice shooting weapon though.

I have the a Hellcat, not the new larger model. It’s a solid gun and shoots well. One of my friends is a detective and it’s his backup firearm. Not my favorite by far in my arsenal but a good purchase. Other models I’d look at to carry in a smaller gun. CZ P10C, Glock 43X with a Shield Arms 15 round mag, FN 503, HK VP9SK/P30SK, some of the small M&Ps. Something to look at in my opinion is how comfortable are you carrying with one in the pipe..? With that question you may consider a hammer fired gun.

I bought one last year to possibly replace my S&W Shield as a CCW. I did not like it as much as I thought I would. The grip geometry just doesn’t fit my hand, and I do not shoot it particularly well. Still packing the Shield.

I have one,,,not for large hands. Shield is better. I have that as well.

I got the Hellcat RDP and love it. For me Springfield's have always felt good.
