    In terms of thermostat temperatures, how are the readings calculated? Is it an average of both t stats or does it just show a reading of one?

    when you do get an alarm it will say port or starboard side. so my guess is both sides.

    It's a "SMART" average. That being said- it's NOT always a precise average of the two sensors, it's weighted slightly more to the STB bank, and PCM programming gives more weight to the possibility of overheating (than it does to a cold bank) in terms of temp reporting.
