Bravo 1 28p slung blade off

    Hey guys,
I slung a blade off my 28 Bravo 1 a couple days ago.
wondering if you guys could recommend the best prop for me.
One that will reduce the effects of chine Walk.
My boat is a 2021 XRS, with a Merc 250R.
    thanks for any advice.

Pro max props handle and drive really well. I went through the prop challenge a couple of years ago. I found the Pro max was the best all around prop. The only downside for me was that it lost 2-3 MPH on top end compared to a few others. It was top notch in mid range and handling, above average out of the hole.

My Pro Max on my XRS is faster on top, handles, and drives better than my Bravo. The Bravo wins in hole shot and carrying a load.

I am running a 26, I have 1:62 gears. I would like to try a 27 to see how it would perform.

I have 1.75 gears. The 28 bravo did well all around but was very hard to handle above 75 mph

i have ran a lot of props over the years. I’m partial to bravos. With that said I’ve ran all pitches of bravos between a 26 to a 31. If your 28 got you the correct rpm and you felt like that was the right pitch for your setup then to be equal you would need a 26 pitch if you go with a pro max.

    I’ve ran a 26 and a 28 pro max.

I ran a buddies 26 Tempest yesterday. Was on the rev limiter at 68mph but wow, the boat handled way better with that 3 blade. A lot more stable feeling. Thinking about looking into getting a 27 or 28 Tempest. Anyone one here have any info on running a 3 blade on an XRS? Tia

I have only ran the prop once and it was a busy day so I never opened it up.

Let me know when you want to come to east TN and fish or just run boats. Douglas lake or Cherokee lake has some places you can open that XRS up.

No, I lived south of Maryville so I fished Loudon, Tellico, and Watts Bar mostly.
