I'm in process of recarpeting my puma ftd. one thing I notice is combination of bolts and rivets. what is the reason for the mixture. would like to go back together with all bolts unless there is reason to use mixture.

It’s easier to set the initial template with the Avdel style compression vapor proof rivets, then we bolt the others with nylocks nuts and machine screws, with sealing washers. You’re fine using machine screws alone and sealing those.
