I can answer that for you. The razor 3 wont be what you want. Its similar to the old raker design by OMC. The diameter is too small for the low end torq of the 4 strokes, and it doesn't perform particularly well with the wingmaster lower units on the newer mercurys. Think Yamaha M propeller vs the Yamaha T1.....The M is best for the 150-200 engines and the T1 and larger diameter and rake angle perform better on the 200-250 SHOs. I ran a razor 3 on a Javelin and on two stratos with johnson/evinrudes with good results....tried them on an HPDI/stratos combo and Nitro Z21/4s Pro xs with poor results. Youre going to want the 4 blade

You should be turning a 23 significantly more rpms than that. I would take it to a dealer and make sure your hot foot is set up correctly and that you are reaching full throttle.

Possibly…I just assume with a hydraulic plate they’ve tried lowering it some? Lower it .5-.75” and run it. Even still….it should be turning a 23 more than 5800…..unless they’re at high elevation.

The 23 Fury on 919 was turning 6100 rpm but only 71.5mph. I am running Lithuim Trolling motors batteries and have power poles.

The 24 Fury i am getting 5850 rpm and 73 mph.

Have you lowered the engine yet? You may not be getting the lift you need. Ensure you are reaching full throttle.

Dealer has checked that 2 times. I normally run my jackplate at 12 on the guage, may do some testing with it lower when i get back on the lake.

Would recommend dropping it a half inch and seeing if there’s any difference. You could always drop a couple led batteries in the back and see if it picks up a few mph on the top end. If you do you know where your issue is

Betting the 23P just doesn't have the cup and lift to get the bow up and she's plowing more than the 24. For that rig though I believe a lot of guys run that prop. Could mess around putting all your plastics in the back compartments and see what happens. I measured my prop-to-pad for the full range of movement on the plate. So my 2S the sweet spot on the gauge is 12 to 14 which is 3 to 3.5in prop-to-pad. This is with a 24P Fury. Same for a 4B Razor XL from Croxton.

How did the razor xl work for you? The razor xl SHOULD be able to run much higher.

Yes, it's noticeable. Haven't run it a lot...........I dinged it up second trip out and punished myself by sending it back to get fixed. Waaay better price than Bravo too.

I just got my 24 fury back from Croxton. With me and my gear and a full tank of gas I ran 75.2 and 5800ish rpm. I had him balance and blueprint the prop. I also have a 23 I want to send to him to do the same thing.

I would also like to try a 23 or 24 tempest plus for comparison.

25 tempest should run similar rpm’s to a 24 fury. Tempests turn around 150 rpm’s more pitch for pitch.

My 2021 921 Elite has a Fury 24 that runs good. I am going to test out Bravo 24 as well as my old Tempest 25 A45.

    Bump to this post.

Anyone running a tempest or bravo or fury 4 that’s happy with it?

I have not had time yet to test my 25 Tempest yet. Hopefully in the next few weeks I can get out and run it.
