As of the last time I checked, Yamaha still does not allow a lithium for a cranking battery.
They will not cover under warranty, ANY damage caused by a failure in there charging system or to their motor.
    Was there a change?

You should’ve spoke sooner, maybe me and the other 1,000’s of folks running lithium would have stayed with AGM’s or sorts.
    I seriously doubt that..

Unless something has changed, this info has been out for a while now. Hopefully you and the 1000’s of others that have a lithium crankin battery have no issues.

I have the 36v system and it works great on my 2022 FXR20 L.

but I kept the cranking battery as standard and used the 12v lithium just for electronics.

    amazing setup

maybe i'm dumb, but if you're selling a package that has 2 batteries, why does it come with a single bank charger?

The single bank charger charges the cranking battery. Once the cranking battery reaches charge it then kicks on the charge on the run charger and charges the 36v or 24v battery. I have been thinkin of this setup. Every time you start your engine the charge on the run will kick on and charge the TM battery as well. Only have to plug in one cord and charge each. This would be better than plugging in a special 36v charger for the TM and plugging in a 12v charger for the cranking battery.

I would probably jump at the all in package if Yamaha allowed a lithium battery under warranty.

Is the 40Ah enough for a tournament day of fishing with the 36V system?

I reckon they probably have a little bit better of a relationship with Yamaha than I do.
