Planning on a trip to Neely Henry in July. First time fishing this lake. Any suggestions on lodging that is boat/fishing friendly ? Which ramp has the best (available) parking. Looks like it is river fishing from the chart I have, narrower than G-ville for the most part. Correct ? Mostly largemouth and spots.

Coosa landing for the ramp. We have stayed at the Fairfield Inn and suites just off I59. It was nice enough but tight boat parking on the weekend and we were only there 1 night practicing for a tourney so didnt have to charge the batteries. Im sure someone else would be better for that suggestion. We caught some good spots when we fished.
It's the Coosa River, not the Tennessee, so much different than Guntersville. It's predominantly a spotted bass fishery. Be sure you have an accurate map card. The Coosa river does not have channel markers as it's not a navigatable waterway.

Gadsden Inn and Suites. Out the back of the parking lot, turn left and you're going over the river and come out right at the ramp. Very convenient, and reasonable.
