    Compression numbers

1999 Mercury 200 EFI what are good compression numbers. And no I do not have a serial number, looking to go look at a used rig and wandering what numbers I should be looking for and what numbers I don’t want to see.

My 2002 200 says between 110-135, with no more than 15 psi difference between the highest and lowest tested cylinders.

Just tested mine today they ranged from 112 to 121.

Make sure you follow the Compression Testing procedure precisely (see FAQ Section).

If you would, please take a moment to review the Announcements at the top of the Forum, and be sure to provide the Required Info (serial number) when posting. Thanks!
