Of special interest to many of us is the proposal below.
*Require vessel, trailer and equipment to be cleaned of aquatic vegetation after removal from water, and require the bilge plug to be opened upon removal from water. Same as Yankee waterways up north.

Now open for comments. There are quite a few items of interest for anyone fishing in Virginia waters. Normally all of these "proposed" laws are accepted unless there is a massive public objection. Of special interest is the invasive species proposal which requires all livewells and bilge to be drained with the boat plug left open along with removal of all weeds from the boat trailer. No more Bubba's leaving Hope Springs with a salad bar hanging.
Fire extinguisher rules changes. Slow to no wake within 200: of any law enforcement craft. Most of these changes are applicable to out-of-state tourists too.
