Good evening,
I’ve purchased a 2014 Skeeter TZX190 w/ a Yamaha 150 SHO last June. The boat was running healthy once i brought it home. This season I took it out of hibernation in the beginning of April. (Upstate NY)
I winterized the boat accordingly and had it trickle charging throughout the winter time.
Last season I did hit a top speed of 62 MPH on a clear day mild chop with water temps at 70degrees.
This season with the same load i only reached 48 mph which really has me thinking. I’m basing that off of what my GARMIN UHD 93sv with GT56 transducer is showing me. There’s no bogging or anything noticeably different with how she’s running just the top end speed.
I didn’t really de-winterize the boat because the lower unit oil was changed before storage, a new water/fuel separator was installed, some stabilizer in the gas tank which I burned off already before filling up again. The Spark plugs are the same I didn’t change them this season yet.
This past weekend i took off the propeller thinking maybe i had some fishing line and gunk but it was pretty clean. I re-greased it and put it back together.
I have yet to check the fuel filter this weekend but does anybody else have any clue what the problem can possibly be. I don’t have any alarms sounding but i did realize my Water Pressure Gauge is consistently at 20+ Even at low RPM’s.
any ideas and help would be greatly appreciated !
