Any suggestions my rear pedestal pole will turn clockwise and counterclockwise but will not tighten or loosen for removal! Any ideas for removal? It is a threaded pole.

Have you tried pulling up on the pole as you rotate it counter clockwise? This may help to engage the treads on the
pole in order to remove it.

I believe the weld broke on the threaded nut! I will pull up on the pedestal and have someone use a pipe wrench!
