    2022 Skeeter Owners Tournament

Role call, who’s going this year? Been in a Skeeter almost 2 years now, missed last year and very excited to be able to go this year. With all the kids sports I don’t get to go as much as I would like, my Son and I will fished it this year.

We'll be there too. Think my FIL is more excited than I am.

Even in good years I would not call the BBQ served at the owners tournament anything more than serviceable and edible in BBQ terms. That is to be expected though when feeding a couple thousand people. I enjoy the fellowship and atmosphere f the event more.

Hot one today, caught 9 did not place. All 14” or so or slot fish, my son caught one 16” and 1/8” little over 3 pounds, those are tough. The bite was good up till about 10 am and then it just shut off. We elected to stay on 1 spot all day long, we moved maybe 50 yards. Fish was there though

I was there. Made my donation. Caught a bunch of fish Saturday and couldn’t stick the ones that bit today. Had a good trip overall although my ultrex let me down today. Lost left steer. Remote is in Arkansas then I remembered the i-Pilot app. It’s tough holding the phone and trying to fish when not on spot lock….

I heard they had around 1700 entries, down about 500. A 11lb.even won a new Skeeter FXR. A 2.97 won biggest under the slot, 4 passenger 4 wheeler. Fish were biting but no money fish. We did manage to find a duck valued at over $700.00! Big shout out for Skeeter boats for having this event every year giving back to their owners!

They were saying 1800 total entries. Last year they had right at 1900 entries. Those numbers are direct from Bass Champs. From everyone I talked to it sounded like they had a great time as usual.

It was a awesome event, I will be back. Great fishing as well, finally got my son to master the art of a Texas rig. The 3 1/2 days we was there we caught about 30 fish, from 12” to a 5 pounder. We had a great time, did not win anything but for me it wasn’t about that anyway. Just want a long weekend to fish a tournament with my son

Bass Champs said 1800 at this one this year. Here is their FB post from last year.

Arlen Hauschild, Seguin, TX, holds on to top over 1900 anglers at the 27th annual Skeeter Owners tournament on Lake Fork with a 9.82. Tim McNeal, Knoxville, TN wins the Yamaha Wolverine with biggest under the slot. 3.08. Full results on basschamps.comSkeeter Boats

Bass Champs said they had 1800 anglers this past weekend and 1900 last year. I was pointing out that per Bass Champs they only had 100 less entries this year from last year. Not 500 less entries.
