    Triton 21hp prop issues

I have a 2006 21hp with a 06 225 pro xs optimax. I’ve ran a 26 fury and it turns 5500 rpm and will do 72 with one person but doesn’t lift the hull at all. I tried a buddies 26 tempest plus today and it turned 5850 but would only do 63 with me and my girlfriend(140 pounds). The tempest lifts the hull a little better but not great. Hole shot on both props is pretty good. Could it just be that this prop has lost its cup or something? It looks to be in good shape

Even pitch tempests have backwards pitch/Layed back blades and don't lift as well as odd pitch models.

What prop would you recommend to try next? Try a 25 or get a 26 worked and try it?

Test a known good 25P Tempest plus if you can.

Have that 26 tempest B&B if you want it to run. They are not very good out of the box and the one you tried may be off.

Exactly the tempest needs to be ran higher than a fury .

Update. Got a known good 26 pitch tempest and it ran 73.8 at 5800 rpm’s with the water temp in the upper 80’s. Think I’ll hang on to this for a winter prop and try to find a 25 tempest for the summer
