    Ghost/21XDC

I have a Ghost I haven’t installed yet, but I’m getting ready to. It’s mounted conventional style. Should I use a wedge?Any other recommendations would be appreciated!

I have a little different set up, I have a 20XDC and a Ghost. I did my own thing, its a mix between a Tennessee mount and conventional style, it works really good. I'm not using a wedge, and haven't noticed any issues with my active target or anything, but seems to be a lot of talk about them, maybe the 21's need it??

Thanks for the reply. I would rather not add a wedge but want my active target to work. I’m still searching for some info.

I'd recommend a wedge, but that's just me.
I always had issues getting mounts to sit flat enough as not to bind. I just installed a Ghost a couple weeks ago, and it's a very rigid mount. The AMP wedge made it easy...i'd have had a very difficult time getting the slightest of bind out of that mount. The AMP wedge gives you a perfectly flat surface.

XRS/SDC/SST definitely needs the wedge, you may be ok with the XDC if you sit nose high. You will love the Ghost, it's a beast!

Appreciate the info! It does sit nose high. Does anyone have a pic with the wedge installed? I’m going to install it this weekend.

I may of lessened some of the issue when I did a combination of a Tennessee and conventional mount, mine sets pretty flat, never an issue.

I have a new 21SDC on order and it sounds like i need to plan on a wedge, good info, thanks!

Send me your number and I'll send you some pics of mine on a 2016 21RDC, love it. It's a little noisy, but I like it, very powerful, and I didn't use a wedge, I did put a few rubber bushings under the front side that faces the edge of the boat

That’s a good mount for a Bullet in my opinion! Sharp boat by the way.
