    Nav Lights

My Lowe stinger 178 didn't come with Nav lights and I'm looking at options

I'd prefer not to drill a giant hole - one big enough for wiring and the mounting screws would be fine though. I only found a few options online

Whats everyone doing for their aluminum boats? Any cons to the pole versions?

Did you buy the boat new? It should've come with pole lights!

Anyway, pole lights will be fine.

I know it came with an anchor light but I don't think it came with a nav light pole. Maybe it's buried somewhere

I've never had a boat not come with a nav light up front. If you are looking for alternatives, they make some that go in your rub rail. Technically they are illegal because the visibility isn't the right degrees of visibility, but I have never known someone to get in trouble for it. I put blue water led light strips on my last boat so I didn't have to fool with getting up and could just flip a switch. I was never hassled about it. I just use pole lights on my 198p now. I don't have shallow water anchors on this boat, so I am having to get up for the back pole now anyways.

I use both the lil pole and strips wired into a single switch....i figure why not.....makes my boat much more visible at dawn/dusk/dark.
