    Yamaha 250 sho

I am running a 250 Yamaha sho on a Yarcraft 209. I am getting 62 mph at 5900 rpm. The fastest I have seen is 64.1. 6000 rpms. But the boat gets all squirly. I am running a 21p saltwater 2. Thinking of trying a different prop or changing motor height.
Or I can just keep it under 60.

You can try raising the motor a little bit as long as you maintain good water pressure. In my experience engine height makes more of a difference on a squirly boat than the prop.

If you have a jack plate, I would first start playing with prop height changes. I have found that most boat mfrs do not set the prop height for optimum performance.
