    Trim won’t calibrate

    Serial # 2B090964

The trim has gauge has not been accurately showing the position of trim on the merc monitor. Will show fully trimmed down when there is more room to go. We installed a new trim sensor, but can’t get it to calibrate. Thoughts on what to look for? Motor trim is working, from the blinker trim, throttle trim, and front of boat trim switch.

    Should work fine.

Make sure that the wire colors MATCH (black goes to Black w/Orange Stripe). NOTHING connects to the Brown w/white stripe wire.

Remember that you have to run trim down fully and stall it against DOWN for 3-4 seconds. Save that as full-down.

Raise to end of short rams (JUST before the faster operation starts). SAVE that as Maximum TRIM position.

Raise to the highest possible TILT angle you can achieve without contacting the cowling or damaging steering. SAVE that as maximum TRAILER position.

Save and exit your way back to main menus. Should work properly- if it does not, check the TriLobe Pin.
