    Pro-tip

A Plano Edge box is perfect to prop the bilge lid. Even has a groove to fit the edge of lid.

I have the shocks on my 1980 but the battery box lid did not come with one. Do you have one on yours?

How wide open does it get? With the Edge box,,it's very close to 90 degrees so easy for me to drop in my big heavy ass starting battery without issue.
