    Helix fuse size?

Guys… I have blown the three amp fuse on the power supply to my Helix twice now. Can I bump up the fuse size a bit ? What does it really require? I think the fuse blows when the battery gets low and the Outboard turns over on the lower charged battery. Any help will be appreciated !

Depends on Helix model as far as size. I would never use a fuse stronger than recommended by the manufacturer.

If you are blowing a recommended size fuse, then you have an issue of some sort that needs to be determined. Upping the fuse size would only put your unit at risk.

It depends on the Helix size and generation. You need to download the pdf manual for your unit from the Humminbird site. It will be in the installation guide.

Here is the link to the Humminbird Publications site:

Just look for your specific model.

3A for the 7", 7.5A for the 15", all else are 5A fuses. Slow blow.

If you're popping fuses then you're have some type of over-current draw downstream of the fuse, maybe shorting a wire?
