    Moving Boarding Ladder

I have a boarding ladder on my Ranger aluminum boat that cannot be deployed due to my power pole being in the way. If I move the ladder about 4" toward the outer edge, I can use it again. I will then fill the original holes so that they are water tight. Mounting hardware seems to be just stainless screws on the original install. Anyone see any issues with this plan that I might not be thinking of? ALways nervouse when drilling into transom. Didn't know if there might be something in the transom for the ladder to screw to that will not line up if I move it.

    Thanks!

I installed a ladder on my boat. The side rails dragged in the water too much and created one heck of a spray. I replaced the ladder and the mounting holes did not align with the other ladder mounting holes. I filled the holes with JB Weld and have not seen any issues.
