    LOWRANCE ENGINE DATA DISPLAY

Looking for different ideas on displaying engine data on the lowrance info panel or the engine app that shows on home page when a Gateway box is installed between nema2000 wire and backbone.
Currently i have round Yamaha gauges on console, which i find hard to manipulate to see what i want to see.
    prefer numbers rather than bars.

I hated my yamaha gauges as they were almost useless.

I bought a Yamaha NMEA Cable and ran it from the motor to my NMEA backbone. Doing it this way you will take the gauges out of the loop and your data will display on the graph.

If you also want the command gauges to still operate you will need a Command Link Hub and a Command Link Gateway.

There are a number of “dashboards” available standard on the Lowrance Info panels. They can be edited to change what info is shown in the boxes/dials.

Or, you can create a custom page configured to show the info you want in numerical form. Not too difficult and once created easy to call up

    Sorry for delay in response.
great way to show data and. in separate areas.
do you remember steps to put your fuel data in that square on right side of screen?
if you do appreciate if you could share that.
    thanks

You are getting water PSI from nema cable/yamaha connection? Or you installed the sensor for it?

    John,

All you have to do if you have a Mercury is install the Mercury fuel data manager anywhere in the NMEA network.

    https://www.hodgesmarine.com/low000-...SABEgK92_D_BwE

It is merely a totalizer for the raw data coming from the ECU and is published on the NEMA network to grab by the totalizer.

The lowrance sees it as another “device” and you are good to go.

When I add fuel I just tell it how many gallons I put in and it does the rest.

    Lemme’ know how you do.

I have a Yamaha 250,Lowrance fuel data manager in the nema backbone.
seems pretty accurate, although what I am putting in to fill up and what the fuel data manager computes I used is always off.5-1 gallon.
I am trying to tweak this so its more accurate.
Lowrance requires to put fuel tank size into settings, I guess this is denominator, then fuel used is numerators been changing fuel tank size to see if I can get this more accurate.

Mine was displayed without having to add the pressure sensor.

    Thanks for input guys.
I am going with the Analog Gauges on info panel.
Starting to build it up and will post pics soon.
Have fuel data manager in neme2k backbone, and I am able to go to settings/fuel/set up fuel tank size.I am getting pretty accurate results on the Fuel used page.
But I can't seem to get the same Fuel Used on analog gauge,onLY Gal/hr.
I think I am not using the correct Data Source for fuel, lots of choices on page.
If any one has idea on this please let me know.
    thanks

Odd, I don't even have Water PSI as an option when building a custom panel on a Live, but I know I've seen it on a Carbon Instruments page IIRC. Will check again.

DEVICE LIST PAGE.JPGFUEL USED TRIP ANALOG GAUGE.JPGFUEL USED TRIP DATA.JPGINFO PANRL GAUGES PAGE.JPGfollow up on my trying to get Fuel used/trip on Analog info panel gauge.
Some Lowrance specialist would probably know what I need to do.
I am am able to get fuel used when I do a overlay,Fuel used per trip, then go to settings/fuel/shows fuel used/trip.
but this to me is a little cumbersome and requires several clicks and pages, then have to reset.

So on Info Panel I made a Page of Gauges ,one in middle is for fuel, both overlay data and Analog gauge from fuel data manager 2754 I only get gallons/hr,or fuel used per hour.I just want the total.that is small 1/2 gauge in middle of screen.
enclosed some screen shots for A Lowrance Guru to hopefully straighten me out.
    thanks

I replied to your post over on THT.

You cannot put fuel used trip on a dial type gauge. Lowrance wont let you.

You can add a data gauge (same as the date/time one you put on that page) and it will show any of the fuel used, fuel used trip, fuel remaining figures that you choose as a number.

See my screenshot. Mine shoed fuel used on a dial type. I believe that's the same thing you're referring to.

I like to have the map up and use overlays for motor data, I can get my water pressure, temps, rpm amd MPH all while looking whats ahead and where I am going.

Thanks ammdrew, that is what I have now,but lots of clutter on my map page.thats why I thought about just basics, like speed and lat/long,can also split screen between map and info panel basics.
