Lowrance Ghost GPS dome

If you're mounting a Ghost do you have to use the GPS dome or will the spot lock work with the HDS Live 12 unit I have up front, thanks

The TMC-1 is not the GPS of the Ghost. The GPS receiver is located in the head of the motor. The TMC is a heading sensor and is used specifically to jog while in Anchor Lock. The motor will likely function fine without it although you would lose that feature. It’s not a huge deal to install it, I put mine underneath the arm of the Ghost. It’s protected and out of the way. The GPS receiver of the HDS doesn’t do anything for the Ghost.

the ghost will not spot lock without the puck. Just unhook it and try to spotlock. I ran into this last spring and the cable had come undone and the unit would not spot lock.
