Mercury pro xs 250 lube capacities sn 3B012213

What is my crankcase and lower unit lube capacities for 2021 250 pro xs?
I know this has probably been answered before but I can’t find it.
Does my 2021 pro xs have the torque master lower unit?
Does the engine take 2 gallons with filter change?
What weight oil should I use?
The dealer here in Florida said to use 25w-40, said that’s all they ever use.

Some of your questions are engine specific and require engine serial number to answer (see Announcment at top of forum). There are several helpful topics in the FAQ one of which describes oil change and level.

    3B012213 is a DTS 250 ProXS with a 1.75 Ratio Torquemaster gearcase.

The link provided above is an excellent one for oil and oil level.

Gearcase capacity: Frankly, I wouldn't accept any number, whatsoever. That case is a low-sump model (not quite dry sump)- and pumps the lube up through the passages. Fill it with the gearcase at LEVEL trim, from the bottom hole to the vent hole (also in the bearing carrier).

It is then acceptable to tilt the engine up 20 degrees, wait at least 30 seconds (spin the propshaft a couple of times so you have something to pass the time).

Return to LEVEL TRIM and wait 1 minute before determining that you do ( or do not ) need to add any further fluid.

Proper level is JUST TO the vent opening (not spewing out).

Ah... you're good. You're definitely not the only one to overlook one from time to time.
