    2016 RT188 trailer

After 3 days of fishing last weekend, I hooked back up to the trailer and the sliding latch/lever to lock the trailer on the ball broke off. It will still open and close with a flathead screw driver but I need to look into replacing it. I always hated it because it never wanted to close easily, I always had to kick it down to lock in place. Has anyone had to replace this before? Should I just call ranger and get a replacement or is there a better option that will just mount to the factory holes. I also noticed I've got 2 lights out, one of the yellow marker lights the wire broke off, and one of the tail running lights is out, blinker still works but I want to replace everything with LEDs. Anyone have a link for a full set of LEDs replacements?

It sounds like you do not have trailer brakes, correct? If that is the case I would expect that you could find a replacement coupler at an auto or trailer parts store or order one online from eastern marine trailer parts superstore (they ship fast).

Find out what kind of latch you have....link is for a Dutton, which may or may not be what you have. To make it easier to latch, adjust the nut at the bottom of the latch. Sounds like your was too tight.

This is what it looks like, the little latch on the top is what broke off. I'll just buy a whole new one and put it on..
