    What one is better?

    Needing another prop.

For those of you that have 198"s what's the best prop for a 2008 198 with 225 OptiPro XS out of these two?

I've always been told that the 25 Tempest was the wheel for a 198 with 225 Optimax. That said, I run a 25TR04 on my 196 (only 200 Opti) and it's a better wheel for me.

I'm running a GOOD 26p Tempest Plus on regular 225 Opti. Excellent 3 sec hole shot as well as good top end. (71.9)

Worked or found a good one out of box? I had a 26 but it was slow out of hole but did hit 71 with it.

26 Tempest plus worked by Marc Croxton. They are really a turd out of the box. Out of two you have there I would say the 25 Tempest. I run that as my spare but the 26 is so much better.

Don’t know. Traded with a friend when we all were trying props one day at Kerr. My 25 worked best on his boat and his 26 best on mine. I seriously doubt it was out of the box good!

I have to apologize guys...I am guilty of a keystroke error. I meant a 26 Tempest. I tried a 25 Tempest on my 200 Opti and it just wasn't the wheel for me.

Of those two, I would be using the 25 Tempest. If you can get that prop to turn 5900 - 6000rpm you will be fine.

Nothing new here, but every prop is different. Two exact NIB props will run different. One may be a dog on your 198, but may be just the prop I need for my 198....

    My 198 likes four blades.
