    shipping a boat price?

I'm going to ship my boat/trailer in 2 weeks and was wondering what you guys think is a fair price for me to ship it out 800 miles? I listed my boat on Uship and got a few bids that are up there almost $3000 to ship my boat, to me this is ridiculously high. I've shipped out this same boat back in 2012 around the same distance and it was only $700 back then and in 2018 shipped it 530 miles for $500. What do you guys think is a fair price for me to charge someone to ship my boat and trailer 800 miles?

High as fuel is your probably looking at $3-$4 a mile.

I shipped my boat 1300 miles last year for around $1600 or $1800. I can't remember the exact number. I would imagine that it would be almost double with fuel prices being double.

$3k for 800 miles does seem a little high.

    KERCHA83,

Would you mind updating with a review when shipment is complete?

I have been considering doing this with a boat and possibly a bike. Overall financially, I think it could make sense for me. My biggest concern is the reliability and liability of any shipper??

I've been looking into this as well, trying to find a boat on the east coast and ship it out west because I can't find anything out here! It seems if you are flexible with your dates you can get much better rates on U-Ship. But if you are locked in on a date it's a lot tougher...
