Yes, It shoots 360. You pick the view while editing. You can use any of the gopro mounts.

I would suggest a Hero 8 or newer if you are using the Yolotek stick. And the MediaMod is a must have. The reason they overheat is due to the battery. With the MediaMod and Yolo stick supplying power you can remove the battery and not have to worry about it. My Hero 10 stays on in the hot sun for as long as I want to use it. Leave the battery at home.

Plus the external mic of the MediaMod is much better.

You can't plug power in without it, unless you remove the battery door, or open it, and leave the internals exposed. Probably not a good idea on a boat. The USB port is behind the battery door. To use the mediamod you remove the battery door and slide the camera in to it plugging in to the USB port, reestablishing the seal. Then you have USB and HDMI out on the back of the media mod. It also has a better mic, more directional. You can select between rear and front mic.
