93sv and 73sv echomap chirp questions

I have 73 on dash and 93 up front. In side scan I think I am not seeing what I should, when I fish with my friend with HBirds I see a lot more stuff. What settings would you recommend, I have them on auto high. I will try any of the suggestions to get it to show more

The sidevu on earlier Non UHD Garmins was pretty poor. Not much you can do but upgrade.

I will check it out. But I kinda figured it was the units aren't able to get great results
