    Drop shot does it again

Lost count of number of fish. Probably close to 30. Mixed bag of largemouth, one smallmouth, shellcracker, bluegill, crappie and catfish. All came on the same drop shot rig with a worm. It will catch anything. Largest bass went just shy of 4# and largest crappie was 13-3/4”. Ended up keeping 5 crappie, 5 gills and a 3-4# channel cat. Going to be eating good tomorrow.

Well done sir … fun and a meal
While I don’t doubt the effectiveness of drop shotting, I can’t do it. Too slow for me
    Ranting incoherently

It took me awhile to adjust. I used to beat the bank hard and fast also. This technique has quadrupled my catch rate in this particular lake. It is deep and clear so you have to fish depth and contour. I used a crank or two you sent me early yesterday but fishing a bait that runs 3’ over 15’ of water just doesn’t work most of the year on this body of water. The worms make a mess and we have to catch them but it’s worth it.

As a follow up I did a few of the bluegill skin on. I scaled them and took the head off and gutted them. Then scored and fried that way. Man they were good.
