Gen 1 8 FT talon I can deploy it but once the spike is out the metal housing will not go out or come in it just makes a loud click like a gear or sprocket is broken. I can easily move the metal piece in and out by hand. Any suggestions? I do have a video I can text or email someone to show what I am talking about.

Take off the main cover so you can see the motor . Then try to deploy it so you can see what’s going on .

I did that. everything spins and something internally is not catching creating the loud clicking noise. I am just going to take it in for service I guess. Whatever mechanism "catches" to deploy and retract the second stage is making the loud clicking (not engaging).

You probably stripped the internals of the wrap drum. It will nee to be replaced.
