'00 175 Ficht turns over won't fire

Went out yesterday afternoon for a couple hours ran to a spot fished a bit and started up ran back to dock. Put the trailer in the water went back to boat and it wouldn't start. It would turn over but not fire.

My first thought is to check kill switch and change the plugs but would appreciate any additional things I can check myself. Of course my plan was to fish in the morning but that isnt going to happen now unless I find an easy fix.

Some things to look at: Blown fuse position 4 or 5 in PDP, crank position sensor, bad connection of the purple wire on the key switch. A weak battery will cause the problem as well! If the problem is not there when you start checking out then suspect a bad PDP, they are bad to get cold solder joints in that year range.

Did the tachometer needle move when you cranked it over, or was it dead?

Quick update, my key/kill switch was loose a little so I tightened that and charged the batteries. Fired right up on muffs... went and bought a noco jump pack. Fished Saturday 5 to 6 hours with no problems, guess one of those 2 things was the issue. Did manage to use the jump pack for another boat.
