    Silicone spray at carpeted latches

    My latch’s are very tight and hard to open. Will silicone spray work ?

    Probably will help a little. Use a beard trimmer. It should cut off enough carpet to make it open easier.

    Actually, many hatch latches are adjustable. None of my latches will lock my hatches I took all the latch mechanisms off and added straps. Too many busted knuckles and sprained fingers. I have never had a hatch fly open while I was driving my boat. I figure if they fly open, I should have stayed home.
