    Fuel Line

    Mercury Blackmax 150HP serial#06551674
The fuel line (inside outboard)running from fuel pump to connector (going outside the outboard to the primer bulb) is 5/16.. the connectors outside the outboard is 3/8.. im replacing this line, do i need to go back with 5/16 or go with 3/8? I read that the 150HP should be 3/8 line and i dont know somewhere in the past 30 years if someone replaced it with the wrong line or they were downsizing it to make more pressure r something.. also i dont think this is original.line because its not marine grade. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

either should be be fine as the newer mtrs use 5/16 from bulb to mtr but the only have splicer which i dont use , if your bulb accepts 3/8 on mtr end use it
