Beaver Lake Report...never been before?

Heading to Beaver lake 5/21, just wondering what the bite will be? Staying in a VRBO mid-lake. I can run anywhere to catch some good ones though, I'd appreciate any help!!!

I fish the lower end by the dam for the most part, and I have heard that the upper end by Hickory Creek is very muddy and debris filled. Mid-lake around Prairie Creek may be fishable, but I'd say give the folks at Hook, Line and Sinker a call to check out conditions.

I fished the last 3 days on the lower end, mostly caught smallmouth, with a few stripers and a few walleye. Lots of shad on the banks, and a bit of a top water bite early. The shad may be getting ready to spawn. It has been pretty warm and the lake has warmed up to the low 70's quickly.
