    Dual livewell pumps - Z21

Have 2007 Z21 that comes with one livewell and two Rule 700 GPH pumps. Of course, these 700 GPH pump are no longer made and had to upgrade to Rule 800 GPH pumps. These two pumps are connected to "Y" configuration PVC plumbing as shown here. Replaced the Flow Rite V3 valve recently.

Now, question, do the "Y" PVC plumbing is needed? or can it be separated? When on plane and the valve is in recirc mode, water would drain out. Bad V3 valve? Or go with V4 valve?

The valve is bad if it is emptying in recirc mode when on plane or out of the water.

On the trailer, the Flow Rite V3, the knob is at RECIRC mode, filled the livewell with garden hose to the overflow outlet and there is no leaks for two days. The bilge area is bone dry. This means the Flow Rite V3 valve is working as intended.

Now, the boat is on the water, stationary, the Flow Rite mode is at AUTO, ran the pumps for one hour and the livewell water level is about 4 inches below the overflow outlet, never up to the overflow outlet. Remember, there are two new Rule 800 GPH pumps, new hoses and new FR V3 valve.

See the first diagram with blue lines drawn.

Time to upgrade the pumps to 1100 GPH or switch the FR valve to V4?

Scott Did you get this figured out? Old post I know. I'm in the same situation. 2 new Rule 800 and new valve still having trouble getting to the overflow.
