    Shift actuator vs demand sensor

    Could use help
    2019 boat w 4S pro XS 250. SN fell into shift actuator recall & part was replaced in 2019. Couple weeks ago, coming in from a derby day, solid alarm goes off after a 20 min run - try to start & motor won’t turn over & prop spins as if in gear even tho shifter in neutral. Took to dealer - shift actuator is on backorder till June. Read an old thread on pulling power off of motor so I tried while I wait. Click on motor & now motor starts & back in neutral. Dealer initially diagnosed as shift actuator, but I’m unsure if demand sensors were evaluated. Also read where taking power off does nothing; except in my case it did reset & now motor starts. Looking for answers while I wait on parts - demand sensor or actuator? Almost think if it’s actuator pulling power would not have fixed. Any help is appreciated.

    By pulling power, do you mean disconnect the battery?

    Really would need to see the Full Report from G3 Diagnostic System in this case.

    Update -
    took back to dealer & re ran diagnostic- showing shift actuator still. They had another boat in w similar issue that was demand sensor. Still on backorder till mid June now. This sucks having to wait on parts.
