    Hydraulic jack plate?

I'm eyeing a new boat - possibly a 521L. Several of the ones I've found in stock do not have hydraulic jack plates.

I'm curious if anyone feels handicapped by not having one?

I love having mine on my BassCat - it makes a big difference in how I can get the boat on plane with various loads and it makes a difference in how it drives at the top speed. I'm wondering if it'd be as noticeable on the 521L since it's not a 78-80mph boat anyway.

Obviously I could add one - just trying to decide if I should.

After having one on my z520 I would not be without one. They are
    especially handy in shallow water.

Good point. I don’t fish that shallow very often, but can think of a few times when I’m glad I had it. Sounds like a no-brained.

Get it !! I really debated on getting one on my new 520r . I’ve had many bass boats and never had one. I wouldn’t own one without it now.

Down here in South Louisiana, our average depth in canals and bayous are 4-6 feet...sometimes shallower. I'd never own another boat without one!

Not to steal the thread but I'm thinking of adding one. It doesn't seem like it would be to hard, has any body done it before

Done several. Need a way to lift engine and the rest is straight forward. Get 4 more 1/2” bolts before you start
