    Gas Mileage 2014 Merc Pro Max 250 HP

    Just curious what does a 2014 Merc Pro Max 250 HP 2 stroke get for gas mileage? Ballpark?

    Perhaps a ProXS (as there's no "ProMax" 250 produced during 2014).

    If you are burning 27 gph at WOT, and running 70 mph at WOT, about 2.5 mpg, if those aren’t your numbers, something different. Need speed and consumption to estimate, otherwise no one has a clue.

    When I was in the business {retired in 2018} I always found the best gas mileage between 4000 and 4600 RPM. I ran 250's back then and somewhere around 4.2 to 4.7 mpg at the RPMs listed above per the SC gauge. WOT dropped to 1.5 to 2.3 usually. Hope this helps.

    ^^^^^^^ pretty much right on for average BASS BOAT , seen some ultra lights get close to 6 at that rpm range

    I put a 250 pro xs on my 518. Cruise at 3/4 throttle Fuel usage is very good. No idea how fast it is. Been to 70 at that’s enough. 60 to 65 is normal when I can. Hole shot is awesome got a great deal on the 250. People want them 4 s
