New Suzuki 250 SS

I am possibly ordering a new motor here shortly and have it narrowed down between a Yamaha and Suzuki. Does anyone know if the new 250ss motor that they just released this spring available for purchase yet. I am trying to determine if I order one if I will be getting the new version or if it will be the previous generation motor.

If I remember correctly, the new 250SS doesn't go into production until June and won't be available for purchase till this fall. Plus I'm not sure if you are able to order the current 250SS or not.

Don’t be afraid of the older version. It’s a great engine. The newer one is cool, and has some nice features, but I also bet it’s more expensive.

I called the dealer, the old model is hard to find right now. I am putting my name on the list for a new one.. The new model starts shipping here in a couple weeks.

Did the dealer have a price of a new one? When I purchased a new 250SS in 2017 for my older boat, it was $18k for the engine alone.

The dealer said they have not released official pricing yet, but thought in the range around $20-$22k.

Mine in 2015 ran $18,700.00 with controls. That was installed. So low 20s sounds right to me.

GatorTrax got the boat up to 76.7 before I picked it up. I have been up to 68 so far, still learning as I have never had a boat with a pad, a hotfoot, or a jackplate. Plus Kansas winds make days where you can wring it out very rare.

I saw on Instagram that someone posted a picture of Dean Rojas and it appears that he has the new 250SS on his Blazer. Hopefully some more performance information starts coming out.
