No hook keeper on Megabass Ronin rods?

I just noticed that the Megabass Orochi Ronin that I picked up does not have a hook keeper. Is this how these rods come or did someone miss putting it on? How are you suppose to hook a jerkbait or any bait? Thanks

Here you go! No JDM rod I've ever purchased has had hook keepers so buy a couple if you are planning to expand into buying more JDM rods.

The first run of the generation Orochi XX had hook keepers. They were removed in subsequent runs. Currently the Megabass Levante series are tge only Megabass rods with hook keepers. Both the Orochi XX and Levante rods are USDM minus a very limited JDM run of some original series Orochis. They are easy to spot with their red accents but are fairly rare. The Orochi XXX are JDM.
