    2020 pro xs operating temp

    2020 250 pro xs
    Serial #2B696367

Over the past few weeks I've been watching the idle temp through the smart craft gauge, and it will reach up to 160, it normally stays right there. Before it would be 140ish. When I get on plane it stays between 130 and 140. I changed out the impeller about 3 months ago.... is those Temps ok? Or is there something else going on??

I have seen mine go up that high only after heat soak, but it goes back down quickly. sounds like maybe you should check the thermo to see if something is hung up in there.

Most likely a blown water pump base gasket, start your cooling system checks at the water pump

yeh that is a good idea.. hearing more and more about this gasket blowing out. I will usually see mine get up to the 160ish range sometimes right after I start it up after having it trimmed up and fishing for a bit, typically does this if i run somewhere, set down, fished for 15-20 mins then fire back up, that's whe I see it climb to 160s, but it always quickly goes back down. sounds like his is staying there until he gets on plane and that would push more water through, so yeh, thommo is spot on with gasket. lots of em doing it now. just waiting for mine to start

Assuming that gasket is simple to change? I'm almost positive I know which one yall are talking about.
