Road Trip

Taking a road trip in a week, have to go to Denton for work. I'm driving from San Antonio, taking my boat. I'm planning on hitting Fork, Cedar Creek, and Athens in four days. I've seen the Fork reports, and plan on purchasing a boat lane chip for Fork, anything I need to be concerned about at Cedar Creek, or Athens? Will keep reading fishing reports. Hope to have some fun, my wife will be coming along, so hopefully we can catch some fish.

I would suggest Lake Ray Roberts just north of Denton / Sanger verses Cedar Creek any day. Cedar Creek is very crowded as Ray Roberts is a Corps lake, not crowded, 20 minutes from Denton, and lots of great fishing areas.

We're staying 2 nights at Lake Fork marina (Tuesday and Wednesday) to fish Fork, Thursday morning we start heading back to San Antonio, hence why I thought Cedar Creek for the day, and then Athens Friday morning, before we leave the area. You think it's best to head back to Ray Roberts?
