    Aerator punp

Rule 800 pump decided to run only when it wants to. Lol. So I replaced it with what appeared to be the exact same new part that I have had for a while. However when I put it on, its extremely loud, as in squealing. Is this a defective pump , gone bad in storage, or is there a way to oil it. Not much point In Carring a spare if its not going to work . Lol. . And on a side note, with a larger pump , say a 1100 fit the same housing.

I had the same problem, disconnect the impeller, take a fine file and file the edges of the fan blades. Mine works fine and have no issues with the water pressure.

My pump is 2 parts with clips. Undo the clips and you have access to the impeller. Maybe not the same unit.
