    seat post

    both of the seat posts in my "new" boat are frozen and useless at this point. what "type" seat post do I look for? all cats the same?

    dads boat sat in barn for 4-5 years and was not used. the seat posts are rusted solid but not in the boat. the hydraulic poles do not move up or down or spin at all -- my stratos had a screw in pole but these are different.

    The screw in posts rust in place also. These are notch lock pedestals and the notch is usually not the issue, it’s scale on the pin locking the pedestal in place. Carefully you can drop some lubricant into the pins area and we have also drilled them (1/8”-3/16”) on the side to allow lubrication to penetrate below the deck.

    Somewhere around 2019 they started making pedestals with stainless pins at our request.

    poles are stuck in the seats and the seats are on the garage floor. the hydraulic poles do not turn or move up and down at all. looking to get new poles and do not know what model or type they are

    Swiveleze made by Attwood. The ones today are stainless steel pins.
