    45"or 52" trolling motor ?????

    Hi Cobra peeps!!!

I have a '98 201d, what size shafts are you guys running on your 201d?

    Any issues with 45" TM?

I have the 45" and have no issues. With that said, I'm a fair weather fisherman so if you're fishing in big waves or a lot of wind, I would get the longer one.

I run a 45" on mine, and have no issues with it coming out of the water, and I've fished some rough waters. But having said that, if I were to do it again, I would go with a 52". But that is more to do with my setup. Between having live scope, it would become bunched together if/when I were to add a 360.

If you think there is a chance you will spot lock and fish 2 guys off the back of the boat, you better go 52". Your 45 will barely be in the water. I did a test before buying mine.
