    moving again..

Being retired I thought we'd stay put. Wrong! We livd in a city suburb in Clarksville TN. The road into our subdivision will have 400 new town style homes built within the next year or so. Traffic is all ready backing up trying to get to the main road through our area. So we decided to vote with our feet and are moving out to the country about 20 miles south. This will be our 23rd move since being married. We started packing a few days ago. Got rid of lots of stuff. I decided not to have a garage sale but to just give it away. I put a table in the front yard with a sign that said "free". Got rid of almost everthing. Made my life easier. The house is close to cheatham dam on the Cumberland . Will have to put the boat in and do some old fashioned reconnaissance of the fishing in these waters. Going to like the quiet life in the country. The closest neighbor is about 700 yards away. The house sits on 5 acres. Two acres of yard and 3 of woods. All ready bought a new zero turn mover for the yard. Now just to get through the hassle of moving.

Development is destroying Tennessee and other states... Same thing happened to a friend of mine near Lebanon TN. A slimy real estate developer and a crooked politician worked to rezone all the farms around him which got bought and now he is looking at 800 homes that will surround his place

Live here now and confirm this. The infrastructure here wasn't made for half the number of people and cars. Congratulations on the move Hypoxic!

Minnesota and Alaska are my two favorite places to be. The South is too crowded and hot.

I assume that you wouldn't have hauled many toys overseas, would you? I'm no Bedouin. If I had to move 20 times or more I'd only own a tiny fraction of the junk I have now. 3 moves in 30 years and the first place was just an apartment. All of our stuff fit in a 1-ton back then.

Congrats.....I am getting ready to move to the country-type environment myself. Dread packing for the move but anticipate the end-result.
