10' Blades Flexing vs 8' Blades

Hey guys. I've got a set of 10' blades that I put on last summer but just really getting to use them this year in shallow water. I noticed last weekend (it was pretty windy) that when I'd pole down in about 3'-4' of water that the poles would flex really bad from the wind hitting the boat and had me worried about breaking them. Is this something I should be worried about or does this happen with all poles and is part of the design? or should I be considering trying to change to 8' poles since I really only use them in shallow water?

10 foot poles will always have more flex then 8 ft. wouldnt worry bout them breaking but the hold would be better with 8 footers for sure

5' lengths of leaver's vs 4'. They will not break haha I have tried

I appreciate the input guys! If anyone out there is interested in trading 8' blades for my 10' I would definitely consider it.

No kidding! Just last night had one hose bust out of nowhere right as I pulled out heading to the lake. Hoses were new last year. Lost about an inch off my pole lol I'm sure power pole will call me back soon about a replacement but still a little frustrating with the old hose design.
