Spring has been amazing - quantity and quality of different fish species. One lake I've fished for 35 years is finally coming back after years of weed decimation per 3700 hybrid grass carp introduced by the homeowners. Panfish numbers due to tight shallow schools, pre and during spawn, are up there with the best fishing the lake has to offer. 150 fish per two consectutive days using different lures has made me on happy angler, but moreso because of the large bass and pickerel I've caught in the same areas on small jigs and plastics. Here are a few:
This 3 lb bass was caught on a thin tail grub and 1/16 oz jig:
Another bass was taken on a plastic worm and jig:
Large perch were taken using the same lure in the same area of the lake:
I caught a bunch of fish using the front of a plastic worm cut off and rigged on a light jig - sunfish, bass, crappie and white perch:
Made some lures using clear plastic and did very well:
Pickerel and curt tail grub:
yellow perch and 28" chain pickerel taken on a clear straight tail last Sat.:

Clear plastic mini-sticks have done just as well as those with color:
Even clear tails have done well:
